This series follows a single peony over four weeks, from full bloom to fade.

After photographing each stage, I perforated the prints with a pin and re-photographed them on a lightbox. The light shining through the wounds highlights the fragility and beauty of decay.

It's about noticing the quiet moments most people overlook: the way things change, fall apart, and still hold something worth admiring.

The final image was chosen as cover art for Bryde's single Less.
