As part-time Marcom Officer for Transformation, a Cornwall-based food bank charity, I lead the development and implementation of strategic marcomms and fundraising initiatives to increase awareness, engagement and financial support for our mission.

Transformation operates six Food Bank sessions across three venues in Camborne and Redruth, alongside four Community Hubs that connect people with essential services. Through these, we provide not only emergency food aid but also long-term support to individuals facing food insecurity.

I joined the charity in October 2024 and implemented a fundraising and marketing strategy that increased revenue by 26.82% in Q4 2024 compared to the previous Q4, while achieving a 385% ROAS for the 2024 Christmas campaign.

My role spans individual donor engagement, corporate sponsorship and securing grants, ensuring a diverse and sustainable income stream. I cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, develop compelling grant applications and create sponsorship opportunities that align corporate partners with our mission.

Beyond fundraising, I shape Transformation’s marcomms strategy, manage social media, design infographics and newsletters and produce video, photography and photo-films that highlight the needs of our community and the positive impact of our work.

By working closely with volunteers, staff, donors, corporate partners, grant funders, the press, service providers and service users, I ensure our messaging is authentic, emotionally resonant, and aligned with our mission - helping to grow both financial and community support for vulnerable people in Cornwall.
