Eden Project
Photography and video
During my five-year tenure creating video content for the Eden Project, I developed and produced a range of engaging videos that aligned with the charity's mission of promoting sustainability, conservation, and a deeper connection to nature. This role allowed me to immerse myself in Eden’s unique ethos, crafting visual narratives that highlighted the importance of biodiversity, the wonders of plant life, and sustainable practices in action.
My work included both documentary-style pieces and short-form videos tailored for social media, designed to resonate with diverse audiences, from families and students to environmental enthusiasts. By showcasing Eden’s rich plant collections, eco-education initiatives, and conservation projects, these videos contributed to the Eden Project’s broader communication goals, boosting visibility and fostering a larger, more engaged online community.
Collaborating closely with Eden’s marketing, digital and education teams, I tailored content to address trending environmental issues, ensuring our messaging stayed timely and impactful. This video work not only broadened Eden’s reach but also served as a powerful tool for educating and inspiring audiences, encouraging them to connect with Eden’s mission and consider their own role in protecting the planet.
Here are a few examples from the hundreds of films I created over five years...
Testimonial:
"Shayne House is an excellent Self Shooting Producer / Director. He excels as a director of photography, cameraman, sound technician and editor, he's a veritable film crew all rolled into one.
Shayne is also an accomplished project manager, he's 100% reliable and never fails to deliver projects on time. Shayne is extremely flexible and seems to thrive on tight deadlines.
Although Shayne freelances for the Eden Project he is very much seen as part of the digital team, and we rely on his enthusiasm, creativity and professionalism on every job. As well as working closely with our team he regularly works with other departments who commission him to produce short films for special projects.
If you're looking for a professionally produced film I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Shayne."
