35mm Slide Film Cross Processed

X Pro Again
June 2020
Camera: Ricoh FF9S
Film: Kodak Ektachrome E100 Slide Film / Cross Processed

Cross processing is the procedure of deliberately processing photographic film in a chemical solution intended for a different type of film, in this case, colour slide film developed as if it were a colour negative film.

After a hiatus of approximately 15 years, I started shooting transparency (slide) film again and cross processing it.

I forgot how much I love the richness of colour and vignette that is produced.

These photos were made during lockdown 1, during my daily alloted exercise.

The bright vibrant colours seem at adds with the darkness of the Covid19 pandemic.
