Mother Ocean is a visual homage to the beauty, wisdom, and enduring power of the ocean - a force that has shaped our planet and nurtures life within and beyond its shores.
In this series, I capture the ocean from multiple perspectives: submerged below the waterline, hovering midway, and just above the surface, revealing both its mysteries and its vulnerability.
Each image reflects the interconnectedness of humanity and the sea. Mother Ocean provides, teaches, and sustains, yet today, its resilience is strained by the rising tide of pollution. Plastic waste, raw sewage, and other human-made contaminants compromise marine ecosystems, threaten marine life, and jeopardise the health of the ocean that we depend upon.
With this series, I hope to deepen our sense of responsibility to protect this source of life. The images draw viewers into the ocean’s immersive beauty, inviting them to see it not just as a resource, but as a living entity in need of our care.
