Mother Ocean
Mother Ocean is an exploration of the deep connection between humanity and the sea, captured through a series of three photographs taken in the ocean.
Each image in this series was shot on the same evening, and presents a unique perspective - one submerged beneath the waterline, another hovering halfway, and one taken just above the surface. These varying viewpoints reflect the shifting interplay between the seen and the unseen, a metaphor for how the ocean holds its mysteries, ever-changing yet eternal.
For me, the ocean is more than a body of water - it is a living, breathing entity, a source of beauty, wisdom, and power. It nurtures and shapes our world, reminding us of our place in the greater ecosystem. The ebb and flow of the tide echo the rhythms of life, offering moments of stillness, clarity, and raw energy. In these moments, I attempt to capture the ocean's essence - its ability to heal, to humble, and to inspire awe.
Through Mother Ocean, I invite viewers to step closer to the water’s edge and experience its transformative power. By immersing the lens beneath, above, and in-between the surface, I aim to evoke the sensation of being enveloped by the ocean - an eternal force that connects us all.
