European Fish Fry

Hanging loose at the European Fish Fry, in a little known windswept village on the coast of Cornwall.

The Fish Fry is a celebration of fish design surfboards. There is no organised trading or competition at the event, simply some shapers, surfers and enthusiasts from the UK and as far afield as Italy and California, gathering by the beach to appreciate the finer things in surf culture.

There's usually an after show party which is a free event, although donations are often made to the Sea Shepherd.

The year I attended R. W Hedges played to an appreciative audience, opening for StringerBessant who rocked out.

Undoubtedly though, the highlight of the evening was an impromptu acoustic performance by Thom Yorke, who graciously played our requests.
