Messenger is a large statue in Plymouth, UK, situated outside Plymouth’s Theatre Royal.
It was created by the Cornish artist Joseph Hillier, depicting a female actor crouching in preparation to run onstage.
The wearing of a face mask became a political issue during the Covid-19 pandemic. They’re just pieces of cloth, but a misguided, obstinate and/or downright stupid percentage of the population sees it as an attack on individual freedom.
Don’t shoot the messenger. Just wear a mask.
